Senior Civil/Structural Engineer

VTEK is looking for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead major engineering projects in the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors. You will play a central role in the design, planning, and supervision of structural projects while mentoring a dynamic technical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Sign, approve, and seal designs in compliance with Quebec standards
• Manage engineering projects, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline control
• Prepare and validate plans, specifications, calculations, and technical drawings
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure technical compliance at all stages
• Solve technical challenges and recommend practical solutions
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering
• Member (or eligible for membership) of a provincial professional order, depending on the region of practice.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant design and project management experience
• Proficiency with CNB, CSA, ACI codes and design tools (AutoCAD)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and multitasking skills
